Piles sweet piles

I have piles all over my house. Sometimes I go into a friend's house and find that they don't have ANY piles (that I can see). How is this possible???????? Really, I want to know. If you have any pointers, please tell me. Currently I have lots of them. One right next to me. It's a "home study" pile. On the floor next to me is a "children's choir" pile. In the kitchen are several. There's the "coupon book/cookbook" pile, the "bills to pay/papers to look at" pile and the "things that don't have a place but I use them a lot" pile. Also in the kitchen is emma's "homework/please don't throw that away" pile. On the foyer table is the "stuff that just came in from the car" pile. Upstairs there are about 5 more. Don't get me started about Audrey. She's got tons of piles of artwork and creations. Nothing is worthy of the trashcan, in her opinion. I'm going to start mailing them to you all. Oh and my sweet husband has a nice pile of recording equipment in our "non-cluttered" dining room. It's his office away from the office.
Last night I got motivated and decided to organize and sort through some stuff in my kitchen. I brought down some little canvis bins I purchased at the Dollar store. They're pretty cute and I ALWAYS think that a new "system"-like cute new organizing bins- is going to get and keep me organized. (Katie Garrett is laughing right now b/c she always wants to know what my new system is) Anyway, now they have formed a new PILE in the middle of my kitchen floor b/c I never got around to doing it. Maybe tonight.
But tonight I think I want to watch a documentary that just came in the mail from Netflix called "God Grew Tired of Us" about the lost boys of Sudan. If you know me well, you know that I love dark, sad, thoughtful non-fiction. No joy. Well, I do enjoy a gilmmer of hope. Eric, on the other hand, does not. So maybe he'll orgainze my kitchen piles for me!
OH HOW COULD I POSSIBLY FORGET the piles and piles of clean laundry!!!!!!! My most dreaded, unending chore is putting away 5 people's clean clothes. Always looking for a new system there! let me know if you have a good one!

Why do you keep watching those depressing movies? Your pile of "dark places that i can go" in your brain is only growing larger! Rent "Once." That you'll love it and it's not dark.

Hey, didn't I help you with those piles recently???

Nope, totally don't know you...but see you all the time at church. We've met briefly before... Apparently, I was always compared to you at the school (Perimeter) because I taught there last year and now I'm home with my daughter. Here is one comment: "Do you know Shea Gilbert? She used to teach here, but now she stays home with her children, too." So, rather than knowing you through your blog and then looking at you at church and thinking, "how's the new organizing system? (which I'm a huge proponent of new systems all the time) or, "any more poop incidents?" I thought I'd just say hi and let you know I'm enjoying your blog for the first time...I'll say hi in person next time I run into you. ~Amberly
