Going to CA

I'm so excited to be going to Berkeley tomorrow to visit my sweet friend, Katie. Katie and I met when I was EXTREMELY pregnant with Emma and her daughter was 3 weeks old. They had just moved to Atlanta and her husband worked at Perimeter with Eric. So we spent the next few years walking, laughing, praying, reading, crying, searching, wiping runny noses, sitting at playgrounds, etc. We learned how to be mommies side-by-side. She's such a wonderful friend and I miss her so much. But she and her husband (with 3 daughters now) moved to Berkeley and have planted a PCA church there called Christ Church. Eric and I visited them once a couple of years ago but TOMORROW......ahhhh, tomorrow. I board a plane around 4pm to read all by myself for 5 hours with no one interrupting me to get them a snack. As a matter of fact, someone will bring ME a snack. And even ask ME what I want to drink! Then I'll spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday with them, meeting Katie's friends, playing with her 3 little girls and getting to know what her day-to-day life is like and then get back on a plane at 6am Monday morning. Hopefully rested and ready for real life again.
