So a new friend said to me the other day, "You know what's the worst? Someone who has a blog but never actually posts anything on it!" I had to admit that that person was totally me! I'm going to give this a try again...
This summer we went back to the Southeast for 3 weeks....to the beach, eric's parents' and my dad's house. It's been a hard road coming back home. Being in my parents' house was weird. Sad and weird. Since coming back to California, I've enjoyed hanging out with my kids, but I'm feeling so conflicted about life and purpose and....life in general. I know this is all part of getting used to a new place. But it's still hard.
I'll post a few pictures from our trip home and also from our short trip to Yosemite.

I can't believe you were here and we missed you. It is nice to see a new post on your blog. When you post I feel more connected with your life. The beginning of the school year is always a good time to reflect of life and purpose. I know that it pulls your heart strings when you go from the unfamiliar but okay back to the comfortable familiar. It's really hard to go back. I just pray that God will give you peace in your soul.
Hang in there Shea. You guys are doing a big thing and you are at the point when reality is setting in. I am so proud of your willingness to follow God and I will continue to pray for all of you.
